As many of our rafting friends and guests remember, we have had a longstanding deal known as “Terrific Tuesdays”. This deal has been a great way to get the full rafting experience – but at a great value! The deal consisted of buying one New River Single Day ticket, and getting the second trip at half price. That sounds like a pretty good Tuesday to me!
HOWEVER – we are expanding this deal! Want to know how? Keep reading for all the details.
In the summer we see longer days, higher temperatures, and lots of guests – both new and old! One important thing that we always remind our guests, no matter how seasoned, is the importance of staying hydrated throughout your rafting trip. This includes not only your time on the water, but also your time prior to and after rafting.
Water makes up over half of your body weight, so every single part of your body requires water to function. When you are exerting yourself rafting, you sweat. When you sweat, you lose this internal moisture! So, in order to maintain proper health (and activity levels), make sure you drink enough water to keep up. How much should you drink? That depends on lots of factors, but usually 6-8 glasses per day is enough. However, for an exact answer, consult your doctor

Memorial Day has been a national holiday since the enactment of the National Holiday Act in 1971. While the actual day had fluctuated up until this point, it was then decided that Memorial Day would occur on the last Monday in May every year. This holiday serves as respect for those who passed defending America’s freedom (and oftentimes, the freedom of many other countries) in wars throughout history.
While it is extremely important that we all take some time on Memorial Day to remember all of our brave veterans (present and past), it is also important for us to celebrate the lives they lived and the freedoms that they thought so hard to protect for us. So, this Memorial Day, take time to pay your respects for those who lived for America, but also take some time to enjoy the outdoors and the country that they protected.

From April 4th-6th, the 32nd annual Icebreaker Weekend is going to take over the RE Adventure Camp, providing great fun and adventure for an amazing price.
